Here is a riddle that should be on the back of an animal crackers box… What has 30 acres, 500 animals and is located in the fabulous hill top amongst the giraffes? Sure, the Santa Barbara Zoo. A happy couple says “i do” at the zoo.
What an amazing location. I think it was one of my favorite usual venues to shoot this year. I love that we just walked down a path and could see elephants and feed giraffes. Oh and the couple was absolutely a delight. This was a Brienne Michelle wedding, and she hit the jackpot with this couple.
They laughed, and played. The bridal party was an riot and it reminded me of how a wedding should be. The bride wasn’t all about the shoes (which she should of been because Converse All-Stars are terrific). She wasn’t all about the hair/makeup (which was truly beautiful and subtle). It was about all of her friends/family coming together to celebrate a special day.

They walked up the isle to “Eye of the Tiger”… growl indeed.
It is always someone else’s idea… and I am not a fan of the bridal jumping shot, but I thought this was an interesting perspective.

Amazing wedding with Brienne Michelle. Her couples, locations and talents are always amazing. Yay. Check back to her blog for more photos. Here is a slideshow she did for the couple, complete with engagement photos.
Amazing Converse All-Stars, an incredible couple and a few giraffes, makes for a great wedding at Santa Barbara zoo.
My own giraffe feeding experience from the Colorado Springs zoo. This was from September 2006.

One of my favorite photos ever. The giraffe is my favorite animal, since grade school. And here I am laying on one, feeding it crackers.
