Why do boudoir?
There is something very beautiful about love. Not just the love that you give, but that love that you give to yourself. It is really something special when you can see someone who fully loves and embraces who they are…
I am a wedding photographer, by trade and by choice. I love everything that comes with shooting a magical wedding day. It never occurred to me the pure delight that clients/friends would be in my life before I started. When I shot my first wedding, to my last wedding this year, I have been blessed. When doing a tally of close girlfriends who I have photographed their weddings, it is 95% of them, and the other 5% I met them after they got married. It is one of those wonderful turn of events that has brought me to weddings, as well as boudoir photography.
When I was asked to do my first boudoir shoot, I shyed away a bit… I thought, “What in the world would someone do with photos of themselves in lingerie?” It almost felt like something to do to blackmail someone. I was truly effected by the response they had… “I am never going to be this beautiful, this young, or in this moment ever again.” Simple enough.
The shoot was amazing. The photos turned out more beautiful and lovely than every expected. Each of the photos she chose were for her. She was floating on cloud nine after the shoot and said that she was so grateful that I could be a part of it for her… Wow. She was the one that had to talk me into it, and now, she was thanking me for making her feel as beautiful, young and in the moment as she had always wanted.
I know I bug on my social media and facebook trying to get ladies to sign up for my boudoir event. I promise it is only because I know the life changing effects it has had on past clients. They are truly so grateful and in love with the images, and I couldn’t be any happy to make they feel as beautiful as they are.
Really this is just a informative argument to help sway ladies to the “WHY” it is important to take these photos.
If you are interested or want to find out more about boudoir photography, I would be happy to show you more photos that are not displayed online for public display.
