Incredible event launching the specialty cakes by Fantasy Frostings. It is called the Broke Ass Cake Collection. The event was filled to the brim with wedding industry types, reality show tv stars, and some amazingly talented folks. Everyone that attended was dressed to impress, ready to party, and supporting my favorite thing in the world, CAKE.
The Royal-T Cafe in Culver City is a swanked out place with knooks, crannys and a VIP lounge with animae. It was so beyond words on how the place when I arrived and put under the masterful eye of Beth Helmstetter and her team, transformed into an amazing party palace with suspended orgamni cranes, incredible floral art, and lighting effects that impressed all. Los Angeles Wedding DJ, Flashdance, rocked and stomped the house with his amazing mixes, and true blue music choices, (I especially liked the Sweet Child O Mine mix!)
Models dressed in Alfred Angelo, folks from NTA Talent agency, and looking everyone looking fabulous thanks to the Bride and Bloom magazine setup, the event was a monster success. The Dollhouse Team put together looks (hair and makeup) for the models, Leslie at Fantasy Frostings, Dana at Broke Ass Bride, tons others and myself. Everyone was stunning, and I have never had so many compliements on my hair. I am truly grateful that they girls offered, and did such a fabulous job, (plus I am in awe about my hair holding the curl all night).
Harmony from Bridal Bar, Lydia from ever-ours, Katy at Katy Carrier Events, Wendy from Just Wenderful and Shannon with Shannon Lee Images all made a fabulous appearance. I wish I could of spend more time chatting it up with everyone. Shooting the event was tough, I mean, capturing all the fabulous faces, and making sure that I got photos of the sweets before they got gobbled up, its’ tough. :)
There were so many people it was so hard to name everybody. I felt like it was a reunion of wedding folk, and celebration of Cake. It was the perfect event.
Special thanks to the girls from the Bachlor/Bacholorette (I am still fuzzy on which season is which and who is from where, but they were all so cute and wonderful.)
